    The working principle of the magnetic seal is to utilize the magnetic field action of the magnetic material to attract the compensating ring assembly and the non-compensating ring assembly to achieve a close fit between the compensating ring and the non-compensating ring friction surface。
    Like the common spring loaded end face sealing device, the main structure of the magnetic end face seal is also composed of a moving ring, a static ring and a secondary sealing ring. The moving ring and the static ring are in contact with each other to form a friction pair, which is subjected to high-speed friction and realizes the rotor structure and The seal between the stator structures. One of the moving ring and the stationary ring should be able to move axially, automatically compensate for the wear of the sealing surface, and ensure good follow-up in the work。
    Unlike ordinary spring-loaded end face seals, the magnetic end face seal eliminates the spring element, and the close fit of the mover ring to the static ring is achieved by its own magnetic attraction. The static ring is a permanent magnet material, and the moving ring is composed of a carbon graphite ring inlaid with a ring of soft magnetic material. The magnetic attraction between the stationary ring (magnetic material) and the moving ring (soft magnetic material) ensures that the graphite ring and the moving ring are closely fitted to prevent leakage of the working fluid. A relatively moving seal between the moving ring and the shaft, and axial and angular floating, automatically compensates for wear on the sealing surface。

    Compared with the ordinary elastic loading end face seal, the main advantage of the magnetic end face seal is that the structural components are few, compact and easy to install. Replacing the elastic force of the elastic member with magnetic force overcomes the problem that the contact load changes greatly due to manufacturing, installation errors, and effects of axial displacement during operation. The sealing interface is in contact with the load. It can be designed to be small (only 25% to 50% of the normal spring loaded end face seal) and evenly distributed.
